These roads are calm and quiet and the area is a world-renowned hub for cycling, a regular host of stages of the Tour de Romandie and the Tour de Suisse.
Together we will discover and relish in some of the most legendary mountain passes, such as Col des Mosses, Col du Pillon and Col de la Croix, over four days of incredible cycling. We’ll also get to enjoy the best of the best of the area itself in terms of gastronomy, culture and hospitality, so there’ll be plenty of time to relax and soak up Swiss mountain life whilst riding some of the most awe-inspiring roads you’ve ever seen.

Experience climbing three of the most famous mountain passes in the Alpes Vaudoises, the Col de la Croix, Col du Pillon, and Col des Mosses. These legendary climbs are often featured in world tour races such as the Tour de Suisse, so you’ll be riding on the same tarmac as the pros.
Whilst this tour is all about the riding, you will not be short of magnificent views to feast your eyes on as you climb and descend through some of Switzerland's most incredible landscapes. Take the chance to experience this picture-postcard region in all its glory.
Our on-the-ground team will guide and support you throughout the tour. They live here all year round, they know these roads like the back of their hand and are always eager to share their insider knowledge about the region’s hidden gems. The local weather is generally mild with summer daytime temperatures ranging from 18 to 28°C, and winter temperatures from -2 to 7 °C. In spring and autumn, daytime temperatures can hit highs of around 15 °C. But no prizes for guessing that the higher up you go, the colder it gets.
Switzerland is synonymous with dramatic mountain scenery, and especially The Alps. The roads in this area are steep, but not impossible, perfect for cyclists looking for a challenge and to push their skills and fitness to the next level. But it’s not all about the peaks, as just north of the Swiss Alps we find the Swiss Plateau, a rolling landscape of lush green hills and sinuous trails.
The Swiss are well known for their friendly and welcoming nature. The alpine region is extremely outdoors-oriented with hiking, trekking, skiing, and cycling at the heart of the nation. Switzerland is incredibly diverse in language, culture, and customs.
Highlights:
Today we ride our very own mountain stage with two classic climbs on the agenda: the mighty Col du Pillon and the Col des Mosses. We’ll stop for lunch in a traditional Swiss restaurant near Chateau d’Oex, the home of Breitling Orbiter 3, the first hot air balloon to fly non-stop around the globe in 1999. After lunch, we’ll descend to Aigle through the vineyards surrounding Chateau d’Aigle, before choosing your next step. You can either travel to Villars by car or fit in another incredible climb through the shady Panex forests and ride triumphantly into Villars.
