Highlights of your trip
SPANISH CYCLING PARADISE
Calpe is a European cycling hot spot, and for a reason. Perfect conditions, nice weather and great service make Calpe top choice for many.
Qualified guides will show you the best route and teach you to be a better cyclist. You always have your back covered with a support car or professional mechanic.
TOP NOTCH ACCOMMODATION
Luxury accommodation in the heart of Calpe in a hotel with great food, spa amenities and comfortable suites - perfect to unwind after a day of riding.
CALPE - COSTA BLANCA - SPAIN
Travelling cyclists are typically looking for two key things: climate and terrain. So it’s helpful for Costa Blanca that in 1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the area as “one of the most equitable in the world” applauding it for being neither too hot nor too cold. Calpe boasts the beauty of variability in terrain. There are plenty of long, flat lanes – often accompanied by the zesty scent of orange groves.
Mild weather all round permits to ride non-stop. It gets hot in the summer but the winter are very gentle with not too much rainfall. Grab your gilet though as winds can get nasty sometimes!
It's definitely an excellent climbing playground, though climbs are rather gentle. Go as hard or light as you wish. Many climbs are famed in Vuelta a España. And yes there are smooth flats as well for the full variety of training.
Calpe has welcoming locals and a good example of Spanish and Mediterranean culture. Foodies will be happy over here with the abundance of the freshest seafood. Be sure to visit a castle or a winery while here.
