NORTHERN SPAIN IS A NATURAL PARADISE
The main reason to visit the Picos de Europa as a cyclist is for the excellent climbing there and the sheer beauty of the place. There are a wide variety of climbs in and around the park, ranging in length, gradient and altitude, with the toughest routes more challenging than the vast majority of climbs that you will encounter in the Pyrenees or the Alps. Same time it allows to go slow and just to take it easy.

Terrain
Cantabria's landmark is iconic National Park of Picos de Europa known for deep valleys and sharp peaks. It is home to some of the Spain's most mythical climbs and La Vuelta passes here every year.
Culture
Cantabria is a region which seems thoroughly Spanish, and yet it is completely impossible for a tourist to find all the things Spain is most famous for there. For the uninitiated, as in, those who have never visited the country, it is not full of flamenco dancers, bullfighting, donkeys and perpetual sunshine.
