We’ll ride along the beaches of the Atlantic coastline and climb to the highest point of Continental Portugal. A full mixture between the northern more mountainous landscapes of the Sierras, adding between them the characteristic Douro Valley and Wine Country manicured terraced vineyards, the typical wine country landscape of the Douro. Followed by the rolling hills of the Alentejo Wine Country that will merge into the coastal hills and beautiful beaches of the Vicentina Natural Park on the Southwest Coast of Alentejo and Algarve.

Arrival, transfer, warm up ride and see the old town of Chaves

Pick up from Porto airport or your hotel and transfer to Chaves. Bike setup and briefing of your tour. Enjoy a warm up ride around the local area at your own pace.

Free afternoon to explore Chaves historic old town and monuments. Chaves is a very old medieval town on the banks of the Tâmega River and with roots dating back to the Roman Empire where it was known as Aqua Flaviae, due to the thermal baths and name of its Roman ruling family. Vestiges of Roman, Arabic and medieval Christian buildings and bridges are still present all over the old town.

What's not included.

Single room accommodation

By default, you'll share a room with a rider within your group. If you wish to stay in a single room, or are travelling solo, you will be able to select this option for €750 when you proceed to checkout.

Meals

Breakfast is already included. You can upgrade your trip to full-board to receive all your meals throughout your stay. Select this option for €810 when you proceed to checkout.

Flights

The best airport to fly to is Porto and out of Lisbon. We will then organise transfers for you and your bike. If you have any questions on how to best organise your flights, contact us for more information.
