DISCOVER A DIFFERENT SIDE OF ITALY
This unique road bike tour takes you through the Piedmont region, discovering the beautiful Langhe area all the way to the Ligurian sea. Start your cycling holiday in Piedmont by going through some very famous vineyards and old villages, full of historic atmosphere, spending the week riding along peaceful back roads.
Spend two days cycling in the Low Langhe Area, visiting the villages that give their name to very famous white and red wines: Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d’Alba, Diano d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba and many more. But this area is also well known for its delicious cuisine and local recipes with white and black truffles and many different kinds of savoury cheeses. On the third day, we leave this area to go close to the Sea. Enchanting villages in pristine nature, cycling on back roads far from the traffic, are waiting for us, rolling hills and at the end, the Ligurian Sea, where we ride along the road where the famous Milano-Sanremo bike race takes place.
The road bike tour in Piedmont is organised for small groups. During the tour, you will be always followed by the support van, and you will stay in exclusive accommodation personally chosen by the expert team. Our team is totally focused on attention to detail to ensure the very best bike tour in Piedmont!

PIEDMONT - ITALY
Piedmont is a region of Italy that borders France and Switzerland and sits at the foot of the Alps. It’s known for sophisticated cuisine and wines such as Barolo. Turin, the capital, has abundant baroque architecture and the monumental landmark Mole Antonelliana, with its soaring spire. The roads are rolling and the climbs are challenging, perfect for road bike enthusiasts looking for somewhere different to pedal.
Northern Italy is dominated by the Alps. This side of the Alps is called jokingly 'the sunny side' as compared to the German or Swiss side, but still expect to see the whimsical nature of the alpine weather. It's very hot in the heights of the summer except for the high in the mountains, but spring and autumn can see sudden changes.
The great thing about terrain here is that you can choose very much the ride you like. Starting of course with the giants of Stelvio and Mortirolo, which are the absolute rock stars of the area. You don't go to Bormio without riding the Stelvio! Yet you might opt for a flattish ride down the wine road on a recovery day.
Yes, it's Italy. Italy is amazing and also very different depending on the area. Expect the Italian experience with the Northern and alpine flavour. Always go for typical local dishes that you won't find down there in the South! Architecture is all beautiful from colourful towns on the lakesides to the typical alpine huts closer to the Alps.
